Some Sketchbook Drawings
The sketchbook drawings are divided into four parts, the first of which is a series of individual drawings. Each of the following parts consists of work on a particular idea starting with sketches and developed through to a color study. For one reason or another I didn’t get to the larger final painting, but still I think they make interesting sequences.

The color mixtures are examples of trying out colors in different patterns and arrangements, or sometimes discovering an accidental cluster of pieces of painted paper that I liked, so I stuck them together and saved them. (See the studies for The Chocolate Chip Cookie and Ancient Flight Paths also.)
